One-Day Meeting
in honour of David Walsh and Richard Watson
NUI Maynooth
Saturday 4 April 2009
|
There will be a dinner in the Bistro of the Glenroyal Hotel in Maynooth at 18:00. We will ask at the meeting who is going to get an estimate of numbers, but you pay for dinner in the hotel (30 euro for a set dinner). Here is the menu.
There are a variety of places in town to go for lunch (see the "Eating and Drinking in Maynooth" link below).
There are three main options for overnight accommodation for those wishing to avail of it:
- On-campus accommodation: contact the Conference Centre.
We suggest that you read up on the types of rooms that are available
before booking. Since this is during term time, probably only South Campus accommodation is available.
- Glenroyal Hotel (more
expensive; 10 minutes walk from the Department).
- Accommodation outside Maynooth e.g. in a hotel in Dublin. We would only recommend this option to those who know Dublin well, or as a last resort. There are public transport connections from Dublin to Maynooth but, even if you stay very near a bus/train station in central Dublin, you will probably need to leave at least an hour earlier each morning than if you had stayed in Maynooth.
