Mathematical Enrichment Programme 2016/17
The International Mathematical Olympiad, 2017 took place in Brazil, from 12th to 24th July 2017.The 30th Irish Mathematical Olympiad (IrMO), to select the team for Brazil took place in two rounds.
The participants of the IrMO - Final Round are normally attendees of the enrichment classes in one of the five training centres (UCC, NUIG, UL, UCD, & Maynooth University) however, participation is open to all interested secondary school students.
The 30th IrMO - Round 1 took place during the week 14th-18th November, 2016. Full details are available at http://www.irmo.ie/Round-1.html
The 30th IrMO - Final Round took place on 6th May, 2017. This more advanced contest consisted of two 3-hour papers with five problems on each paper (from 10-1pm and from 2-5pm) in MS2, Top Logic, Maynooth University and in other centres nationwide.
Training for the 2016/17 Mathematical Olympiad in Maynooth University took place from January - May 2017.
It took place from 10.00am to 1.00pm in Callan Hall, South Campus, Maynooth University.
Maynooth University ran training sessions for the 2016/2017 IrMO on the following dates:
- 21, 28 January,
- 4, 11, 18 February,
- 4, 11, 25 March,
- 22, 29 April,
- 13 May
