Anthony G. O'Farrell: Course MT151a+b.

MT 151a+b. Introduction to Mathematical Computing. SEE WARNING

The Laboratory time will be arranged at the start of first term.

These modules (151a in Semester I and 151b in Semester II) introduce you to the use of a programmable symbolic manipulator. The one we are going to use is Maple. It is a wonderful tool, and you will enjoy mastering it.

I would encourage you to use my Office Hours for help with Maple, and keep up with the work.

WARNING: The module marks are based entirely on continuous assessment, using assignments and tests in the Computing Laboratory. You must therefore attend each and every laboratory, and complete all assignments.
We're using the Moodle virtual learning environment. You are expected to login to the University's moodle website regularly, and use it to collect your homework and discuss problems. In case of problems, contact me at once.
